Moving between computer music and elemental techno ALGORITHM features live performance from:

Senking [DE]: Part of Cologne's alternative music scene for many years, Jens Massel shuns the city's typical party sound for deep ambience, dark minimalism, rumbling analogue synth-bass and submerged organic rhythms.

Aoki Takamasa [JP]: Making a name for himself as one of the busiest and freshest young electronic artists from Japan right now, Aoki pushes his digital tools to the limits yet retains a sensitivity to melody and groove which keeps his music warm, emotional, and engaging.

Pixel [DN]: Jon Egeskov constructs highly precise digital rhythmic structures (most recently influenced by African drumming systems) from bursts of static, precise sub-bass pulses, and delicate showers of crackle and hiss.

Alexander Rishaug [NO] & Marius Watz [DE]: With minimalistic electronics, abstract beats, glitches, and digital noise, Alexander creates a detailed and subtle sound; often melancholic and quiet, but always with a sharp focus on structure, rhythm, and melodies. Performing here together with Marius Watz, an artist concerned with generative systems for creating visual form marked by colourful organic shapes and a maximalist attitude.
